Air Chief Marshal AP Singh's Visit to Egypt

Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, the Chief of the Air Staff, is currently visiting Egypt following an invitation from Air Vice Marshal Amr Abdel Rahman Saqr, Commander of the Egyptian Air Force. The visit aims to enhance bilateral cooperation between the air forces of India and Egypt.

During the initial day of his visit, Air Chief Marshal Singh was provided with a comprehensive briefing on the Egyptian Air Force's operations. This included insights into the operational philosophy, force structure, and mission capabilities of the EAF. He also toured Berighat Air Base, where he examined the infrastructure and operational facilities, highlighting the increasing professional exchanges between the two military services.

The visit also included Staff Talks among senior officers from the Indian Air Force and the Egyptian Air Force. These discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in training, joint exercises, operational synergy, and the exchange of knowledge. The interactions signify both air forces' dedication to expanding defense engagement and interoperability.

Air Chief Marshal Singh also paid respects at the Heliopolis War Memorial, honouring the sacrifices made by Egyptian servicemen and reinforcing mutual respect for military traditions and values.

This visit underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and Egypt, emphasizing the Indian Air Force's commitment to fostering strong defense ties with friendly foreign air forces to enhance regional stability and collective security.
